Feeling Crafty

I finally got around to doing one of the crafties on my pinterest to do list. You take a regular old bobby pin (I would suggest the ones for blonde hair since they show the color the best) and take your favorite color of nail polish and run it along the top of the bobby pin. If you don't want it to run over the sides just make sure to run one side of the brush along the side of the lid to get the excess off. Also I noticed that the thicker the polish the better it showed up, so keep that in mind when picking your color. Then just let them dry overnight and WAHLAH! you have colorful bobby pins to match your outfit :)

This is how mine turned out!

Food for thought...

I have really been slacking in the "making dinner" department lately. School is just dragging me down along with the worst case of allergies I think I have ever had. But yesterday I found this bean dip recipe that looked really good. Now normally I hate everything that is considered Mexican food, but refried beans are actually something I enjoy in small doses. So I introduce to you Warm Bean Dip which I found from The Country Cook via pinterest of course.

Ingredients:
2 cans (16 Oz) Refried Beans
1 can (10.5 Oz) Diced Tomatoes (see notes)
1 Tablespoon Taco Seasoning
4 cups Shredded Colby-jack Cheese (see notes)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
Drain excess juice from tomatoes using a strainer.
In a medium bowl, combine refried beans, drained tomatoes, taco seasoning and 2 cups of cheese.
Spray an 8×8 baking dish with nonstick spray. Pour combined ingredients into dish and spread around evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until thoroughly heated through. Add remaining cheese on top of dip and bake for another 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
Serve warm with your favorite tortilla chips.

I am not a tomato fan so I put just a tiny bit in there... although next time I don't think I will put any in there. I think this might also be good with some taco seasoned beef thrown in there.

I made this for me and my two roommates and the 2 cans of refried beans was wayyy to much. Next time I will definitely cut back the ingredients, with the exception of the cheese. But I definitely recommend this as a try!

what a beautiful day,

I would just like to start out with...... HOW BEAUTIFUL TODAY WAS!!!! I am a lover of hot weather (definitely the summer) and the beautiful sunshine. But todays weather seriously improved my mood sooo much (that and the advice from an amazing friend)! It also helps that I got all my homework done for today earlier this week. Also I went crazy on pinterest today, and found some uber good ideas. I would just like to take a moment to mention that pinterest is more than an addiction for me..... its like second to the bible...but really! Enough of that... I hear (or rather see) that it is Pinteresting Wednesday, so therefore i'm going to share some of my favorites from my binge today....

I really would LOVE this in my future home. please and thank you.

How fun would this be for a date... it's kind of on my bucket list
To sleep under the stars.

I'm not usually a fan of pink, but when its combined with lace how could you not?!

I literally died when I saw these. I have been looking for some shoes like this for months.
Unfortunately they don't have my size :(

As a brunette I have always wanted to color strips of my hair. But I don't really want
to strip sections to color them. Although if it would end up looking like this
I would totally go for it! le sigh.

So, I hope you enjoyed these finds as much as I did.... now its off to more pinning....
